While we were in Ecuador a few months ago we hung out with Alisha, a hilarious, awesome, Australian. She and Beans were fast friends. So, Alisha let us in on a Australian thing that they do with their kids. When kids are young they use the word "ta" as thank you because its easy for little ones to say and teaches them that they need to respond when someone gives them something, etc. So, we have been using that with Beans since then and sure enough, she loves to say her "ta" and typically knows when its appropriate to use. All week I have been telling her its the week of ta when we give thanks for our blessings:) not sure if she really understands that whole thing, but hey, we'll go with it:)
Some random things I'm thankful for:
baby kisses and hugs
a house to call home
colorful socks
my love
faith
changing seasons
fluffy pillows
canon
the ability to capture memories
my legacy and my heritage
chocolate
mac
sleep
target
the ability to experience cultures and the world
what are you thankful for? leave a comment with your list...come on, you know you want to!!
